Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 5, 2026
This policy describes the personal-use Caponong Personal Assistant operated by Michael Caponong. It covers connected Google account data and the public information website at assistant.caponong.com.
1. Data accessed
With the account owner's authorization, the application can access Gmail messages, metadata and attachments; calendar entries; Google Drive files; Google Docs and Sheets content; and contact information. Its authorized capabilities can also include sending and organizing Gmail messages and creating, changing, or deleting calendar entries and documents. Task instructions and permissions determine which capabilities are used.
The application stores OAuth access and refresh credentials to connect without repeatedly asking for a password. Google passwords are not required by the integration and are not stored as part of its OAuth connection.
2. Purpose and use
Data is used to perform the operator's requested personal tasks, including finding bills and due dates, checking payment confirmations, maintaining reminders, and updating personal productivity records. Access is not permission to make payments or perform unrelated actions. The application does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
3. AI providers and other service providers
Relevant task content may be sent to configured external AI providers, such as OpenAI when that provider is selected, for summarization, extraction, reasoning, or other requested processing. The selected provider can change. This means connected account data is not necessarily processed only on the operator's own server.
Private results may be delivered through the operator's Matrix messaging system and may be written to authorized calendar, document, or spreadsheet services. Infrastructure, messaging, backup, and AI providers may process data as needed to supply these services, subject to their applicable terms and retention practices. No claim is made that all third-party processing has zero retention.
4. Google API Limited Use
Caponong Personal Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google user data is used only to provide or improve the specific user-facing personal features authorized by the operator. It is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. Transfers are limited to those needed for authorized features, security, legal compliance, or otherwise permitted by the policy. Human access is limited to the operator and circumstances expressly authorized or permitted by that policy.
5. Storage, retention, and security
Credentials, conversation history, task reports, and selected personal context can be stored on access-restricted, operator-managed systems and in backups. Some task data may be retained as personal memory or records to support future requested tasks. Retention is not a fixed automatic-deletion period: records remain until removed by the operator or by the applicable storage or backup retention process.
Connections to Google use HTTPS. Access to operator-managed servers and credential files is restricted. These measures reduce risk but do not guarantee absolute security. The public website does not expose the assistant's credential files, messages, databases, or private reports.
6. Revocation and deletion
The account owner can stop Google's authorization through Google Account connections by removing this application's access. Revocation stops future authorized Google access but does not automatically erase previously stored reports, conversations, documents, or backup copies.
To request deletion or ask which providers are configured, contact downer6@gmail.com. The operator can remove connected credentials and retained application data. Backup copies may remain until their normal rotation, and records deliberately saved to another service must also be removed there. Provider-held records follow the relevant provider's deletion and retention process.
7. This public website
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and security logs, to deliver and protect the site. The site does not embed advertising, analytics scripts, or Google sign-in forms. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
